The stub and paper thing in my pocket didn't really work today! Hehe.
Listening to Copeland, they're pretty good so far!
You'd break your neck to keep your chin up.
Today I was walking home from basketball and I don't know if it was the light peering out from the narrow gap between the tree leaves, but I thought I was looking at the world pixelated, like an old photograph, sort of. Maybe it was because my glasses were blurry, or I was just plain exhausted, but for a moment there I found the whole thing quite beautiful.
Then, I realized that this world, in a full blast and flow of colours is beautiful as well!
Basically, my point of blogging today is to share that and also a very emtional quote that I stumbled upon while reading TLOTR (YES I FINALLY DID).
"There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach." -- Sam upon seeing the beautiful star, p.234"This line struck me as I was reading, I could have cried!
From now on, the quote
The beauty of it smote his heart.
will remain with me always.
