Whew, loads of quotes today. I love the above picture, the colours and everything are just gorgeous.

"If doom denies this to me, then I will have naught: neither life diminished, nor love halved, nor honour abated."
-- Denethor, on his wish for things as they were in all the days of his life, and his longfathers before him; to be the Lord of the City in peace, and leave his chair to a son after him, p.146

"Suddenly their hearts were lifted up in such a hope as they had not known since the darkness came out of the East; and it seemed to them that the light grew clear and the sun broke through the clouds."
-- After the terrible cry, p.149

"Shadowfax shall show her the meaning of haste."
-- Gandalf on Ioreth's journey to collect kingsfoil, p.159
I love it when Gandalf says things like this about Shadowfax.

"Then in the name of the king, go and find some old man of less lore and more wisdom who keeps some in his house!"
-- Gandalf on finding kingsfoil, p.160

"They are a remarkable race," said the Warden, nodding his head. "Very tough in the fibre, I deem."
-- The Warden on Merry and Pippin, p.168

There's this really long quote on the first page of "The Last Debate" so those of you wonderful readers who possess the book out there, flip to that page and it's the paragraph when Gimli talks about the stonework, up to Legolas saying he'll bring birds that sing and trees that do not die. I found that such a lovely quote. Also, a few pages back when Aragorn says to Merry that whilst he smokes his pipe he should think of Denethor, for he was "a gentle heart and a great king."

"Oft hope is born, when all is forlorn."
-- Legolas, encouraging Gimli during the passing of the Great River, p. 176

"Follow what may, great deeds are not lessened in worth."
-- Legolas, the great deed being the riding of the Paths of the Dead, p.176

"We must push Sauron to his last throw. We must call out his hidden strength, so that he shall empty his land. We must march out to meet him at once. We must make ourselves the bait, though his jaws should close on us."
-- Gandalf on their quest, p.179

"If this be jest, then it is too bitter for laughter. Nay, it is the last move in a great jeopardy, and for one side or the other it will bring the end of the game."
-- Aragorn on the quest, p. 183

Have I ever ranted about Bright Eyes on this blog, I don't think so.
Anyway, their only song I was familiar with a while back was "First Day of my Life," but now I'm completely engrossed in their music. How I love indie folk, rock, alt rock, baroque pop, and baroque rock. I realize that it's music like this that can really make my heart calm, that can make me think and in ways make me a better person within. I'm so inspired, and the lyrics are just amazing, as they always are. I love music like this; quite, soft, slow, meaningful. Content.
Can't even pick my favourite, but listen to 'Classic Cars' off their Cassadaga album, and

Will constantly keep linking, I think! :)

School tomorrow. :(
Emotions are running all over the place.
Can't think properly.
Starting to regret not doing creative writing this winter break.
Worried about sports day.
Can't wait to see friends tomorrow.

Realized I spent most of the holiday writing on the blog and not creative writing (which was the original plan). I love this blog though. There's a comment that says my blog could do with a bit of new design, but I love this design! So not changing. Thanks for recommending me on digg, though! Right, I'm going to read TLOTR that I have ignore now, and hopefully find new quotes! :)
